Privacy Policy — iLlumination
Last updated 5 June 2026
iLlumination (“the app”) is a flashlight app for iPhone, developed and published by Erik Storli (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: it collects no personal data — only anonymous usage counts that cannot be linked to you.
Data we collect
iLlumination does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no tracking, and no advertising.
To understand how many people use the app, it sends anonymous usage signals (such as “the app was launched”) via TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. Before anything leaves your device, identifiers are irreversibly hashed on the device itself; neither we nor TelemetryDeck can link any signal to you, your device, or your Apple ID. No advertising identifier (IDFA) is used, no location is collected, and no consent banner is required because no personal data is processed. You can read TelemetryDeck’s privacy policy at https://telemetrydeck.com/privacy/.
Everything else the app does — turning on the LED, lighting up the screen, strobe and Morse modes, and your saved preferences — happens entirely on your device. Your settings are stored locally on your iPhone and never leave it. The content of Morse messages you type is never transmitted.
Permissions
The app requests access to the camera flash (LED) solely to turn the flashlight on and off. It does not access the camera, take photos, or record video. No camera imagery is ever captured, stored, or transmitted.
Third parties
Apart from the anonymous usage counting described above (TelemetryDeck), iLlumination does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software. No personal data is shared with anyone.
Children
The app collects no personal data from anyone, including children. It is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new “Last updated” date.
